Just an update

Just updating from last post. I got the 80 280zx. It's in great shape. There are some engine problems that have started poping up. Startup in the morning is a little tough. I noticed the power steering fluid is not retaining it's level. I added some "stop leak" fluid, so hopefully that will at least help. The end of this month I'll have a chance to install the new suspension that I have. That will be nice because it is a noisey drive now. I also need to repack the barings, which will probably reduce some road noise that I'm getting.

I posted the Z on Car Domain: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/692148

As always, I'll try my best to keep this updated. :D

Still going through the process

Well none of the cars from the last post panned out. I do have my sites set on a 1980 280zx. I just hope posting about it won't jinx me. The car is in awesome shape, but it has a lot of miles. Which would seem OK because those inline V6's go forever. The body style is still in the 280z mold, but the interior is a little more updated then the 70's models. I like the older dash a little better, but this version is not bad.

I'll post pictures if everything works out.

Looking for a used car...

There sure is a lot to finding a cheap used car. First finding one that isn't a POS. Then setting a time to go look at it and drive it. So far that was the last step. The one that I did like had too high of a price tag. I think the guy just thought he could ask what he thinks the value is and he was probably right.

I'm into the 240z, 280z and 300z cars right now. I have a list of 5 that are still available. I just need to find a time to go look at them. It seems that the older the z the more it costs. That's a good thing if I want to keep on for a while. At least I'll get what I paid for it back. Here's the list: http://www.ianoble.com/cars.htm

Post comments on what you think!!

Well a lot has happened since my last blog. Danielle and I got married. The wedding & honeymoon were great!! Everything went better than expected.

Married life has not been much different than before, eventhough everyone thinks it should be. I've been asked by so many people "How's married life?". We are getting along better than ever, so that's a good thing. I was always worried that marriage changes people, but so far so good.

Well that's all for now. I'll try to update more! :D

Looking at houses...

*< sarcasm >*
I never knew buying a house was so fun!!
*< sarcasm >*

Danielle and I have been looking at some manufactured homes in a community in Grass Valley. The problem is not the price of the home, but the fact that the community makes you lease the land from them. This can kinda get costly with a mortgage and a lease payment. You can't beat the price & quality of the homes, though.

Here are the MLS links to the types of homes we are looking at:

I mean it is still in a mobile home type community, but at least your buying the place!

Less than a month...

I can't believe that we are less than a month away from the big day! I'm not really nervous, just concerned that everything will go smoothly. The honeymoon does make me nervous, though. There are a lot of things that can go wrong when you take 4 plan trips in a week.

Happy thoughts, happy thoughts... :)

Finally the service is set...

Ok, here is the phone we went with:

Samsung a530s

Let's try this again...

I haven't worked that hard in a long time! I helped my friend Matt & Christy put up a fence. Everything went pretty smooth. I sure learned a lot. This is the kind of stuff I don't know how to do.

Here's kinda what the fence looks like:

Cell Phone Update: Well it doesn't look like the Verizon website and Radioshack have the same inventory of phones, so Danielle likes this Motorola phone:

Not very good so far...

Well the new AT&T service is not working very good. We drove just past Auburn and got a roaming signal. The phone barely worked on hwy 80! Verizon has some pretty good deals, so I think that is where we are going to go.

Here's the phone we are looking at:

New cell service & Kings game...

Here is our (Danielle's) new phone after her Nextel phone got "stolen".

That was kind of a pain buying a new phone with a new plan. Why do that required a service agreement on a cell phone. Who's idea was this? Oh well, she is happy with the phone and hopefully there will be good service.

Great Kings game last night!! They played well for 3 quarters, but had a rough time in the 3rd. Just bad offensive execution. Their defense was excellent throughout, though. Game 5 tomorrow.

Go Kings!!
