Couple good rides before the storm...

Well I gotten 2 good rides to and from work in so far. Since the bike isn't able to get up to highway speeds, yet, it has made me find some really nice, country type roads for my commute. I have to leave a little earlier and it takes a little longer to get home, but I feel like I just out on a Sunday drive in the foothills. I need to take some pics, but I'm nervious because last time I took pics of the Z, it got stolen.

I would like to go out with Matt on a ride some weekend, but we both seem to have stuff going on lately. Soon enough though. We don't even know where we should go anyway.

The other things going on in my life are OK. BizFlex is going well. From everything I am hearing we are getting some interest from outside companies. Gates and Controls is a handful so hopefully we will work out all of the bugs with them by the time we get another client on BF.

That's about it for this entry.

Starting to ride

Matt and I were finally able to take the bikes out this weekend. We only got about 20 minutes on Saturday because of time constraints and because my chain broke. Luckily it was only a $6 fix, or so I thought. I figured I would just need to thread the chain over the sprocket then over the back well gear. Well after doing what I thought was correct, the chain didn't connect. That should of flown up the red flag right there. Not being very experienced I didn't know something was wrong. So, I proceeded to remove the back tire to get more slack in the chain. Once I finally got the chain together, I couldn't get the link to go on just right. After about 5 hours I just gave up.

Sunday Matt came up and helped me put the chain back together correctly, at least it appeared to be on correctly. As I started to move forward there was a noise that just wasn't right. The chain was wrapped around a small safety dowel. Well at least it was a learning experience.

After all of that we got some good riding in. It seems like Matt was getting a pretty good hang of things. I was having some trouble coming to a stop. It sounds simple but you have to apply the brakes, release the gas, make sure it's in neutral or at least keep the clutch compressed, then balance yourself once the bike has stopped. I think the weight is what is tough for me right now.

I estimate about 1 week before I will feel comfortable to ride with traffic. Our class is the 25th and I feel that we will be really prepared for the class!! I'm looking forward to it.

My new Suzuki GR650

I am very excited because I finally got a bike!! Unfortunately I cannot ride it, yet because my helmet has not come. It doesn't have a working battery anyway. :)

I will post pics myself, but here are some from the previous owner:

My best friend Matt got a bike, too. He went with the more traditional Honda. His starts right up and will probably go for about 30 more years the way he takes care of things. ;)

That's all for now!!

It's March already?!

Well it's been a while since the last update. Sorry about that. We've moved across Auburn, by the high school, in a little house. It's much better than the Greens, besides the fact that it is always so cold! That will change pretty soon, though.

Since the summer is coming, I have started looking for a motorcyle with my friend Matt. I think I've finally conviced the wife. ;) Right now I am borrowing Danielle's friend's car to get to and from work.

Speaking of work...BizFlex is going very well. We are set to launch 1.1 on March 15th. I'm not really privy to the marketing side of things, but it sounds like we have a few clients lined up right away. Of course GCI will keep us busy for a while, too.

That is all the news for now. Remember to leave comments!!
